MEDICOLEGAL PRACTICE

PERSONAL INJURY REPORTS

Miss Banks currently deals with personal injury litigation only. Reports are commissioned by the claimant's solicitors, defence/insurance company and solicitors (occasionally on a joint basis).

Most cases are dealt with a single report.

​

Louisa is happy to prepare reports on:

​

• minor head injuries
• whiplash related disorders
• long bone fractures (humerus, radius and ulna, femur, tibia and fibula)

• shoulder injuries
• elbow injuries
• distal radius fractures
• wrist ligament injuries
• scaphoid and other carpal bone fractures
• hand and finger injuries including amputations.
• tendon injuries
• simple pelvic/coccygeal fractures
• hip fractures and injuries to elderly patients
• knee injuries
• ankle fractures and sprains
• foot injuries
• soft tissue injuries and infections
• injuries complicated by complex regional pain syndrome
• carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome
• lifting injuries
• alleged work-related upper limb disorders

LOCATION

Claimants are seen in Kinmel Bay Community Resource Centre (the Town Hall) usually on Wednesdays.

All examinations are fully chaperoned

 

The waiting time for appointments is usually 4-6 weeks, although we can usually accommodate urgent appointments.


Reports comply with the current CPR legislation.

 

Miss Baks is indemnified for medicolegal work by the Medical and Dental Defence Union of Scotland Ltd

 

Mr Clay is  a Doctor registered with the General Medical Council but as he has retired from hospital work as a surgeon  he no longer maintains a Licence to  Practice and is unable to offer any form of treatment.

 

DOMICILLARY VISITS: Mr Clay will accept instructions to visit claimants who are unable to leave their home.
